On early Sunday morning of September 1, 2019, God called his angel, Dorothy Annette Johnson,
to her eternal home. She was the daughter to the late King Williams Sr. and Dorothy Pittman
Williams. Dorothy “Ann” was born and raised in Blakely, Georgia and 20 years later she moved to Fort
Lauderdale, FL.
Ann’s passion was cooking, cleaning, shopping, helping others, and spending time with family.
Ann had the pleasure of traveling to numerous countries and other states such as Rome, Italy, which was
her most memorable of all. Ann was a natural born nurturer and she took care of her youngest
siblings all the way down to her precious great granddaughter Leilani.

She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Ann became a member of
Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the number 2 choir. She
was affiliated and faithfully served on the mother’s board at Empowering Lives Outreach
Ministry (family-based ministry).
On July 22, 1970, Ann married the love of her life Henry James Johnson who she now leaves
behind. As a devoted wife and mother, she leaves precious memories to her children; four
daughters, Miriam Flowers (Raspus Flowers) of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Candy Mitchell of
Pompano Beach, FL., Glynnis Johnson of Brooklyn, NY., preceded in death Rhonda Miller
(Murray) of Brooklyn, NY., One son; Derrick Johnson (Priscilla Johnson) of Atlanta, GA. Ann was
the 13 th of 16 children; 12 brothers and 3 sisters. Living Brothers; Reverend Earl Williams of
Quincy, FL., Willie Jim Williams (Azzie Williams) of Blakely, GA., J.T. Williams of Atlanta, GA.,
Charles Williams of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Brothers preceded her in death: Oscar Williams, Murray
Williams, J.W. Williams, King Williams Jr., Alvin Williams, Loyless Williams and Raymond
Williams; Sisters who preceded her in death: Nella Mae Salter, Inez Salter and Alice Williams;
Nieces; Geraldine Shorter and Shirley Anita Williams. Fifteen grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and a host of relatives, and friends.
