Obituary

Kathleen Elaire Sterling, was born in Caron Hall St. Mary, Jamaica to the late Muriel Walton and Steven
Sterling on January 5, 1937. Mother of three girls, she met and married Kennith Knight then migrated to the United States in 1978. While she waited to get her green card so that she could apply for legal employment, she was able to get an in-house nanny position, although not ideal, it provided shelter and a form of income.

Through faith and the love of the Lord, she was able to sponsor her husband, daughters, and stepson to come
to the United States, which enabled them to become citizens of this country. In 1982, Kathleen graduated as
a nursing assistant from The National School of Health Technology in North Miami Beach, Florida.

Cooking and baking were her passions. She loved sharing that passion with loved ones and friends.
Kathleen was kind, gentle, a wonderful mentor, and most importantly a child of God.

Her legacy will be cherished by her three daughters, Audrey, Melanie, and Lorna; eight grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
