Raymonde Noel was born in Petit
Grove, Haiti, on December 1, 1957.
She is the daughter of Wilner Noel
and Soulta Pierre-Paul. To her three
children, she was “mom;” to her four
grandchildren, she was “mama;” to
many others, she was “ma tante;” but
above all, she was a woman of faith.
Raymonde had a remarkably close relationship with
the Lord and her faith in God could not be shaken. She
made every decision in life with what she believed was
God’s will for her life. She was a true servant of the Lord.
She spent all her years praying and caring for others.
Oftentimes putting herself last. Those who were closest to
her sometimes joked that she was a saint.
Anyone who knew Raymonde Noel, would always be
smiling, would not go hungry, or unclean. She made it
her purpose to care for those around her in every way she
She had a smile that could light up a room and often
laughed like only a child can.
Prayers are with those she is survived by: The father of her
three children, Jacques Poteau; children, Natacha Ryles,
Stephanie Poteau, and her late son, Jacques Reynaldo
Poteau; four grandchildren, Arianah Ryles, Rodney
Ryles, Jr., Clergee Mia Poteau, and Reynaldo Christian
Poteau; daughter and son in-law, Rodney Ryles, Sr., and
Clerge Clervilus; and several brothers, sisters, nephews,
nieces, and friends whom all were undeniably treasured
