Thompson and Theophilus Malcolm. He was one of seven children born to this union.
At the age of 14 Roy started his own business and by 21 he was a proud business owner. Roy was a
loving person who made everyone around him laugh. His smile was contagious. Hard work wasn’t
anything that Roy scared away from he was the consummate worker. He loved to help anyone that
needed him, giving the shirt off his back if needed. He was always encouraging people to do better and
seek the Lord, as he was a devout Christian. In 1993 Roy married the love of his life Cynthia Fletcher and
to this union they had 4 children. In previous relationships Roy had 7 other children. Roys love for the
outdoors was ever present as he enjoyed going to the beach, feeding birds and ducks and his love for all
animals. Roy was an avid domino player. Some people would say he was also the life of the party,
entertaining was most important to him as he enjoyed spending time with great friends. But the most
important part of Roy’s life was his family. His love for his wife was unwaivered and his devotion to his
children and grandchildren was never ending.
On April 22, 2020 Roy succumbed to his illness and passed away peacefully. Roy leaves behind to cherish
his loving memories; His wife Cynthia Thompson, his 11 children, 22 grandchildren, 24 great
grandchildren, 4 sisters and two brothers. Roy may have left this earth, but he is now resting in the
arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for this we are grateful. May God rest his soul.
