Obituary for Sandra Sills

Life Reflections:
On July 03, 1962 a beautiful baby girl named Sandra Delores Sills was born to Roosevelt Sills Sr. and Alma Sills (Medley) in Bartow, Georgia. She was raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she attended Broward County Public Schools. She continued her education at a community college and expressed her professional talents in various ways, but the one she enjoyed the most was counseling young girls at ACTS until she unfortunately became disabled. She attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. James Beasley.
Sandra (affectionately known as “fat”) was a devoted loving mother (everybody knew you couldn’t say anything about her boys, she LOVED them dearly), a wonderful wife, exceptional daughter, an irreplaceable grandma, sister and friend. She loved being around family and friends, helping others, cooking , watching her stories, talking to her mom on the phone and playing with her great granddaughter.
On September 26, 2019 God called Sandra from labor to rest. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Roosevelt Sills Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother Alma Medley, her companion for years Larry Williams, two sons, Antonio Carter Sr. and Jason McDowell (Alexia), four sisters, Shirley James (Vernon) of Houston Texas, Jennifer Sills (Larry), Terry Lynn Figueroa (Ismael) and Angela Howard, three brothers, Gary Sills (Jasmine), Richard Sills and Roosevelt Sills Jr., nine grandchildren who she loved dearly, Takeira, Antonio Jr., Zamauri, Shayunte, Jaitwon, Jayla, Jaesha, Jason and Mason; and one special great grandchild Nevaeh, along with a host of family and friends.
