Obituary

The beautiful journey of the life of Willie Frank Massey Jr. began on October 6, 1942 when God blessed Emma Lee and Willie Frank Massey Sr. with their first born; an energetic baby boy born in Homerville, Georgia. He would bring this couple many joyous days and would be the oldest of eight children and would seriously take on the task of being the big brother.
The journey would head south when the family relocated to Pompano Beach, Florida in 1950. Willie Frank attended the public schools and was a member of the Blanche Ely Class of 1962. In 1966 he was drafted into the United States Army and served honorably. Upon his discharge, he returned home and worked many jobs, eventually becoming a member of the International Longshoreman Association.
Cupid would offer a much welcome detour in Willie Frank’s life’s journey. He met the love of his life and married Winifred Jenkins in 1978. God blessed them to enjoy many beautiful years with their family. Family was very important to him and he loved and enjoyed just having them getting together having fun. Willie Frank was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.
In the early morning hours of September 12, 2019, God dis-patched his angels to announce the journey was over for Willie Frank. Those left to cherish his precious memories are a loving and dedicated wife, Winifred Massey, Children: Cedrick Massey, Pamela Jenkins (Tony), Jerome Jenkins (Michelle), Derrick Jenkins (Della). Grandchildren: Derrick Jr, Kambrel, Kosher, Lele, James, Reginald, Darius and Jalu. Siblings: Winnie Smith, Curtis Massey, W. Jean Patterson, Bishop Alfred Butler (Eloise), Rev. James Massey (Elizabeth), Charles Massey, Easton Massey (Yvonne), Frankie Lois Parsons and Sandra Gates (James). Aunt, Martha Moore. Sister in laws, Delores Brooks, Geneva Wil-liams, Gwen McDuffie and Barbara Percell (William). and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
